什么是图书馆学？

 

图书馆学（library science）是研究图书馆的发生发展、组织管理，以及图书馆工作规律的科学。

 

这是一个相对冷门的专业，它一方面与一些学科在研究对象和研究内容上交叉重复，在历史渊源、现实状况和未来发展中，都有着同族的关系；另一方面，图书馆学利用其他学科的理论和方法来解决自身的理论与实践问题，相互之间存在着应用的关系。

 

和图书馆学有同族关系的学科主要是档案学、情报学、文献学和目录学、信息管理等。

 

主要课程：图书馆学基础、图书馆管理、信息管理概论、信息用户研究、文献资源建设、文献分类法、文献编目、人文社会科学文献检索、科技文献检索、咨询与决策等。

 

就业方向：大企事业单位、IT行业、新闻出版部门、大专院校、医院及有关研究机构、图书馆、档案馆、博物馆就职，从事信息管理和开发工作。
